JAZZ LOUNGE | Toms Rudzinskis Residency | Meridian Quintet

Organised by: Koncertzāle Cēsis

Meridian Quintet brings together five outstanding jazz musicians from Latvia, Italy, Denmark, Austria and Poland, presenting a vibrant and diverse contemporary European jazz sound. The ensemble’s programme features original compositions by its members, blending compositional precision with the freedom of improvisation and creative dialogue.

The group’s music combines the lyricism of Northern European jazz with the energy of contemporary jazz and refined ensemble interplay. Melodic lines on saxophone and guitar are complemented by rich piano harmonies and a dynamic rhythm section, creating a compelling musical experience.

The project emerged from the international Poznań Music Labs LIVE series and continues to develop as a long-term collaboration, set to culminate in a joint album release and a European tour.
